Have you always struggled with dry hair? How would you feel if I gave you the ultimate dry hair repair cheat sheet?
That would be fantastic wouldn’t it?
Firstly, let’s have a look at what’s going on with your hair.
Do you have dry hair because you blow-dry and iron without giving your dry hair the right protection?
Or do you have dry hair because you love swimming and outdoor activities in the sun?
How about your coloured hair. Do you look after it really well between visits to the hairdresser?
Well, if you answered yes to any of these, I’m going to give you this little cheat sheet to help you on the way to beautiful soft hair.
Let’s take a look at the first scenario: you have dry hair because you blow dry and iron it too much.
This is so easy to fix. If you don’t want to spend lots and lots of money on beautiful products, there is one product that you must use. And that is heat protection.
Now I can’t go around talking about every single product that’s out there because there are too many to mention. But, I can mention a few.
The first product I would recommend is the heat protection spray from G HD. I thinks it’s one of the best, because it’s been created by the company that produce the best irons and blow dryers.
The second product I would recommend would be anything from the Redken Heat Styling Collection. There’s about four to choose from in this range, so pick one that suits your hair and lifestyle.
And finally, there’s a product range that shouldn’t be overlooked, and that is the entire Pureology range. This is a Vegan range of products specifically designed for colour protection. It also offers heat protection throughout the range.
What about dry hair swimming and outdoor activities in the sun?
Well apart from the fact that you should be using great shampoo and conditioner, and heat protection, from my experience nothing compares to the Redken Antisnap in the Extreme range. I’ve been using this for years and it never disappoints. Anti-snap is a leave in protein treatment which you put in your hair after the shower. It’s so simple to use, but gets incredible results. Definitely one to try.
So what about looking after your coloured hair?
Some colours can have a greater impact on the hairs condition than others, but all colours should be maintained to the highest standards.
Now what does that mean exactly?
Once again, I could talk about a vast range of professional products, but there is only one thing you need to do. Use professional hair products recommended to you by a professional hairdresser during a consultation. Like it or not, the supermarket brands don’t live up to the job of maintaining the hair to the best standard.
Cheveux Haircutters is fortunate enough to be located in the very busy Sydney CBD, so we get the opportunity to help lots of people with lots of different hair scenarios.
